Loving growth but hating the process...

It's amazing how you can wake up one day and realize you're not quite the same person you were a month ago, a year ago. Growing could mean saying goodbye to comfort zones or finding out that what you thought would be forever was just a phase you had to go through. You could outgrow relationships, lifestyles (remember our party all day everyday phase) even roles and patterns.

So why the hell did I take those shots?! I'm supposed to be smart enough now. My poor poor aching head... To quote Brightly: "I have a drinking problem but I'm not alcoholic" "Real friends never let you drink and dial" *confiscate phone*

I woke up today doing the "wattteeerrrrr...nyup nyup nyup" thing. I miss you girls. I do I do I do! And LN, I was so close to talking to my toothbrush. Nice one.

Eleven Minutes

Hunnies read Eleven Minutes by Paulo Coelho. It'll make your head spin! I want to write my own novel too! Ate A and I are going to call it Little Miss Indecisive :P

My kuya's ticket got lost and they thought I hid it and forgot where I put it... They still haven't forgotten the time I hid some guy's slippers in the beach and forgot where I buried them so I had to get someone to rake the whole area just to find it. I still think it wasn't my fault because I did put a marker and it disappeared... :P

Anyway, I'm really going to miss kyaw! :(( :((

Here we are playing silly card games--old maid, suicide, 41, gin, tagteam pusoy dos, memory game whatever we could think of... We were drunk on laughter :)

I have to stop now because I'm singing the wrong lyrics out loud... I might wake up my brother. hehehe

But just so you all know how awfully off the guy and the lyrics are, check out the REAL lyrics of the song!

Artist: Survivor
Song: Eye Of The Tiger

Risin' up, back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive

So many times, it happens too fast
You change your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive

Chorus:
It's the eye of the tiger, it's the cream of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
And he's watchin' us all in the eye of the tiger

Face to face, out in the heat
Hangin' tough, stayin' hungry
They stack the odds 'til we take to the street
For we kill with the skill to survive

chorus

Risin' up, straight to the top
Have the guts, got the glory
Went the distance, now I'm not gonna stop
Just a man and his will to survive

chorus

The eye of the tiger (repeats out)...

While playing poker and low cards were on the flop..Lala says: "Hmm... Interesting..." nyee.

*shempre kailangan ko daw mag-diretsong Ingles kasi 'di maka-intindi yung mga ibang tao diyan.

Today, we woke up to my Papa screaming good morning over and over... at 7am. Of course, I got out of bed an hour later :P We had to be ready by 10am because we were going driving around Sydney just so we could get a feel of the whole area. Thanks to Tita Cora, Tita Joy, Uncle Anky and Tita Nidia for driving us around :)

We spent most of the day in the car, we went west, east then north. I absolutely loved the beach areas in the east...Bondi,etc. It's nice and laid back... people actually walk around barefoot. Parking is shit though. But Ate A still insisted that she wanted to stay in the city and her argument was pretty solid "Paano tayo gagapang pauwi?" ("How can we crawl home after drinking?") hahaha! Papa said just for that comment we have to stay with my uncle longer! (we love uncle anky so it's all gooood)

While we were walking around the east suburbs... I think at Watsons Bay, my Tita Nidia was walking with my mom and she was pointing out houses that had historical value to the council. When you buy these houses you can't really change the facade. While walking, they came across an old house with an open door and inside was a super super white old woman with long curly blondish white hair wearing all white flowing lounging clothes... and they both froze! They thought they saw a ghost! We were right behind them and Tita Nidia was all like "Is she moving?! Do you see her?!" hahaha! Sayang (*tsk), we should've pretended we couldn't see her.

Then our two elderly Titas (family friends) took us walking around Sydney Harbour Park and friggin there was a nude beach called LADY BAY. Hehe shempre (*of course) the boys wanted to check it out... Tantananaaaaa... puro matatandang bakla! (*they're all old gays!)...with saggy butts, beer bellies and all. heehee! My kuya felt violated just being near the area.

Eric and I were thinking about one of our common gay friends (I won't say who) and we made up this story about how he'll go down to Lady Bay, accidentally drop his keys and bend over hehehe. Ate made us stop...

We then moved to the north side... it was beautiful! A lot of the streets were tree-lined and there were places with fantastic views of the water. Apparently, old houses are more expensive because of the "historic value" they hold but really, why would you want to live in a place that smells like an old moldy baul (*chest) where several generations of people have lived and died?

They told us this story about an old senile man who lived by himself in an old house in a nice suburb... he used to go crazy when he saw women wearing red. He'd harrass them and scream at them that they shouldn't wear red because it's for prostitutes. Anyway, they didn't see him for a week and when they finally did check on him, they found him dead in the house. He had died a week ago! The house sold for $2.5M! Wouldn't it be creepy if you lived in that house and decided to wear red one day and have some spirit harrass you "hey why are you wearing red?!" ok... fine I have an over-active imagination of a 6 year old... BUT STILL!!!

We stopped by Chatswood mall to eat merienda. We were served by this gorgeous blonde girl at Mrs. Field's and being the Filo that I am... I told mom, sayang, she's so pretty why is she working here lang? Shempre, mommy got mad at me. I keep forgetting that in a lot of countries, it's ok to work anywhere. You can be a bartender and be in school or have two other jobs :) I wanna be a bartender! There's a weekend course for it (RSA). Should be cool... One shot for you...one shot for me ;P

Ate said she can bartend but I can't because there'll be a lot of boys and it won't be safe. Hello I'll just be behind the bar! Which made me think... damn if the bar is high then I'll be tiptoeing while asking people for their orders. Kita lang yung head ko (*you can only see my head peeping)... "So what's your poison boys?" Not a very glam set-up hahaha And heck would they let me in the bar in the first place? They card me anywhere I go! They get surprised when they see my birth date.

So all you girls who are planning to visit me... bring your license or a proper ID because we wouldn't want you to keep your passport with you and lose it when you get drunk :)

On a side note... please don't hate me... but I might go home December na (in time for Kuya Joel's wedding and I'll be staying 'til January). Just so we can get our dual citizenship quicker... I love you I love you don't be mad!

Well... actually, if I get too miserable here, I'll fly over one random weekend just to get hugs and play poker with you girls. I have a roundtrip ticket remember?

*mwah*

Here's something to cheer you girls up! Krista: *Ahsk me what time is it? (ay barok!)hahaha "it's haf pahst fouh." Ginny(i love you bestyluv): Can you say Can I have some tea?

Men See You As: A Difficult Challenge

You must be an incredible hottie...
Because it's the only way you can pull of the ice queen act
You're the type of woman that men love to chase
But if you don't stop running, you'll never get caught!

HELLOOOO their tests should be culture-sensitive!

You are a Career Girl!

You may not be a CEO yet, but you're well on your way to success.
You take your career seriously, and you wouldn't stop working for any guy!
An independent woman, you pay for your own car, clothes, and housing.
And men appreciate that - at least, the ones as driven as you are.

HAHAHAHAHHAHhahahahahha... in theory I guess it applies...

You Are Ready to Get Married

You've done more than dream about the dress and the honeymoon
In fact, you spend a good deal of your time thinking about what makes a relationship work
And from your answers, it looks like you have the skills to say "I Do" and mean it
You've dated enough, learned your fair share, and you're ready to settle down.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-
ooooOooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

Guys Like That You're Charming

You're the girl most guys can't get out of their heads
Even if they met you on a bad hair day :-)
You just seem to "click" with everyone you meet
So even if a guy forgets about you for a second... his friends haven't!

Not a Player, But You Dabble In the Game.

Sometimes a girl just wants to have fun- and when it's fun you're after, you get it.
But when you want a relationship, you seem to score that as well.
What you want changes from day to day? and from guy to guy.
Luckily, you've got the skills to get whatever you want - and pass the leftovers on to your friends.

He Is More Than a Hookup

You've fallen pretty hard for this guy, which could be a great thing.
But if he's just looking for a hookup, this spells trouble.
If your guy wants something serious, than by all means, step things up.
Otherwise, find someone else who's interested in more than a fling.

You Can Hang With the Guys and the Girls

You've struck a good balance between girlie and laid back.
You can keep it casual but when you dress up, you are as girly as the next girl.

Your Ideal Marriage Proposal Is

Spontaneous, on a tropical vacation, when he realizes he can't be without you.

With fireworks please. heehee

You are a Romantic Realist

Okay, so you fall in the middle.
You know that love isn't like a greeting card...
Yet you can always find a greeting card to describe your feelings.

You are the best of both worlds
Girly yet independent, dreamy yet serious.
Almost any guy can find balance with you.

You Are a Fierce Femme

You have a wild side, and you aren't afraid to bring it out when the time is right.
But you also know when to hang back and keep your "crazy chick" persona in check.
In fact, some of your friends may be surprised to find out how far you can take it...
You may look mild mannered, but it's all an act!

GUUURLS take the tests and post it here :)I'm turning into a Mimi so I gotta jet! Love you *mwah*

On Long Distance Relationships

IT NEVER WORKS! hahaha

Lately it's been all talk of long distance relationships...just writing random thoughts :)

I've heard from my friends that if I did find THE one and was in a relationship with Him, I wouldn't be packing my bags on a misadventure to Sydney. I should probably a) stay with him or b)fly to wherever he was, those two choices just seem like the natural progression of things. If you are really in love with the person (so they say)you just can't be without him.

But is that really true love? Love shouldn't stop you from doing the things your heart calls you to do. If you are unsure of how you feel about the person or how he feels about you, then you'd probably think twice about going for it. Shouldn't the one you're with love you enough to respect and support your dreams wherever it takes you? I believe that it takes a more secure and unconditional kind of love to trust that things will fall into place and that if you were really meant to be with that person then you two will meet at the right time when both of you have grown to be imperfectly perfect for each other. I think (atleast I hope) that that kind of love transcends time, space and all other temptations put before you. You can search all over the world and still find that no one else can compare to the one you have waiting for you at home or that one guy you carry in your heart.

My one wish for all of my friends is to have the courage to let their dreams take flight, to go for it, to broaden their horizons, to take risks and to feel more and more alive everyday. Having courage could be as wonderful as taking the leap to get married (hello invite me please, I'll be the last one to walk down the aisle), as fearless as quitting a job you're unhappy with (way to go La!), as hard as fighting for what you believe in (kudos to Sir Rich and Papa Ry), as amazing as being in a long term relationship or long distance relationship or leaving it (yay MV!), as awesome as being single by choice even if it seems like a looong looong time because you don't want to settle (I'm proud of you Derek!), as humbling as trusting God's greater plan for you (like K!), as admirable as owning up to your mistakes and making up for it (nice one Mich), as crazy as leaving your comfort zone or as random as going on a misadventure with me (any takers?). heehee.

That being said....VISIT MEEEEE!!!! so I'll have R&B dancing partners here :P

*ang haba haba pa ng sinulat ko, yun lang pala ang ending hehe :P

HAPPY EASTER!

First Two Days in Sydney

I just arrived in Sydney. It's been a laugh trip in a stressful way during our airport stops coming here. First, we went to Philippine Airlines (I hate pal sorry but I really really do) and we were misinformed about the luggage allowance so we had to pay extra.... P86,000! exag! That's like an extra business class ticket already and we went over due to shampoos and random clothes... NICE ONE. Papa said "yan ata yung pinaka mahal na shampoo na nabili ko"

Then when we were about to pay the terminal fee, there was this rude fat caucasian mukhang American that insisted that there was only one line and we should get in line... eh engot pala siya there are two lines talaga! Anyway after that, when we lined up for immigration and he was in front of me, I noticed he had a bag that said windpower. and I told ate a (loudly) " no wonder his bag says windpower, he's full of hotair and he stinks. hahaha. (good thing he didn't sit on us mwehehe)

So we were finally in the sydney airport (we had a stopover at melbourne) and we had a customs check... Ate Leny (my yaya) put milk in my bag! I didn't know it was there kaya! The lady was all like you have milk in your bag. I said.. I do? I don't even drink milk. She asked.. who packed your bag? I said my maid did so I didn't know it was there.. she goes princess your maid isn't here, next time know what's in your bag or you could go to jail. &*^*^%() i almost got fined $220- $60,000 or go to jail for 10 years over... dadadadaraaaa.... 3 tetrapacks of nestle milk worth P70!

So I know I'll be hearing milk comments for a while.

The following day here in Auburn where my uncle lives (and where I'll be staying til we find a place in the city), I opened my other suitcases and guess what I found?! 3 cans of tuna and a pack of iced tea. How weird is that right? So I go and call Victor (my driver/bodyguard/shadow/everyone's favorite guy) and told him how I got into trouble with customs because of Ate Leny and I asked him how everything is and that I miss him. He actually cut the conversation short after 5 minutes saying that he was in the bank and he wasn't allowed to talk. hehe.

After putting the phone down I realized... damn... my first phone call to the Philippines was to Victor. (to quote Brightly "there is just something wrong with that babe.") hahaha!

(Which brings me to a side story that happened just this morning... I was chatting with my Arnis teammate in Ateneo --hello red!-- and he said "Paano na kayo ni Victor?" He actually thought that Victor was my boyfriend or that the name of my boyfriend was Victor! Whatever, it was a laugh trip!)

Shortly after, I received a text message from Ate Leny saying she's sorry about packing groceries in my luggage and that if I do start washing my clothes, I should separate whites from colored ones and "huwag magkusot masyado kasi baka masira yung kamay mo" and that she misses me. Aww what a sweetheart! Ate Leny if you get to read this I miss you!

AND Bestyluv, KR Pathie , Lalalala Mimi , Nikki Gargoyle/Missy, Manika Sweetie/Rusty, Karisma, MV, D/Narco, LN, Mich, Bu and the boys... I MISS YOUUUUUUUUUUU :((
